Franchise Store Types – An Interesting Option
Our franchise store in store non-traditional offerings allow qualified franchisees to put The UPS Store® center within the premises of existing businesses like hotels and convention centers, and smaller shops in hardware stores and pharmacies.
A store in store location is a freestanding The UPS Store® center set up inside the premises of another business. When we first launched the store in store concept in the 1980s, franchise owners would mainly set up these types of centers in businesses like hotels and convention centers. However, we updated the concept in 2016 to include smaller “host” businesses like pharmacies and hardware stores.
If you already own a business, adding a The UPS Store center within its premises is a great way to bring in a new set of customers by offering additional services like:
- Packing and shipping
- Mailbox services
- Moving supplies
- Packaging materials
- Digital printing and document services
- Faxing, notary and computer services
- Custom crating and freight shipping
- Alternative delivery services
