The UPS Store solidified its standing as one of the top franchises in the world once again by coming in at No. 16 on Entrepreneur’s 2018 Top Global Franchises Ranking, which was up eight spots from our 2017 rank.
The global ranking is tied to a distinction from earlier this year when The UPS Store came in at No. 4 out of more than 1,000 companies that applied for Entrepreneurs 2018 Franchise 500 ranking. Entrepreneur’s global list uses the same ranking formula as the 500 list, but with extra weight applied to international factors (see below for more detail on the rankings).
In 2018, The UPS Store also maintained their position atop the “Postal, printing, communications and business services” category on the Franchise 500 list. And, last year, The UPS Store earned a couple other distinctions from Entrepreneur including being named one of the top 10 franchises for veterans and one of the top 50 fastest growing franchises.
About the Top Franchises lists
When compiling the top global franchise ranking, Entrepreneur only considers companies seeking new franchisees outside the United States that had a minimum of five units open abroad as of July 2017. For the qualifying companies, Entrepreneur determined the specific rankings by using their proprietary Franchise 500 formula and adjusting it to give extra weight to international size and growth.
